Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area in Oyo State, has expressed strong confidence that the region will deliver a massive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. Speaking during an APC Unity Rally held at the Olomi area of Oluyole, the party chieftain predicted that the local government is on track to triple the number of votes it recorded for the President in the previous election cycle.
The push for this ambitious goal is already in motion. The party leadership is focusing heavily on the basics of grassroots mobilization. Olaosebikan emphasized that politics is fundamentally local, noting that his team is working around the clock to ensure eligible residents register to vote and, more importantly, that those who have registered actually collect their permanent voters’ cards.
As the Convener of the PBAT-KO Grassroots Movement, Olaosebikan revealed that his group has been active across all 229 polling units within the ten wards of the local government. The movement, which operates out of the CICU Building in Olomi, recently extended its reach to Gbaleasun village, one of the most remote parts of the area. This outreach is designed to sensitize rural dwellers about the ongoing APC membership registration and the importance of participating in the upcoming electoral process.
The party’s growth in Oluyole appears to be gaining significant momentum. Olaosebikan pointed out that the APC has seen an influx of political heavyweights, community leaders, and traditional rulers who have recently pledged their loyalty to the party. He credited this surge in quality and numbers to the unified front presented by the party hierarchy, specifically praising the local government chairman, Alhaji Waheed Akinleye, and his executive team for their success in fostering internal cohesion.
With the 2027 elections still on the horizon, the strategy in Oluyole is clear: maintain total unity and leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of maximum votes. Olaosebikan remains adamant that the party is now stronger than ever and fully committed to delivering a performance that will surpass anything seen in 2023, ensuring a clean sweep for the President and all APC candidates across the board.
