Comrade Daniel Onjeh, who was the 2023 APC Benue South Senatorial Candidate, has sent warm greetings to Muslim faithful in Benue State, across Nigeria, and around the world as they observe this year’s Eid al Adha celebration.
In his message, Onjeh urged Muslims to remain steadfast in the values the season represents, including sacrifice, obedience to God, peace, love, tolerance, and compassion for others. He noted that these principles remain important for building stronger families and a more united society.
The former Chairman of the Governing Board of the Projects Development Institute in Enugu described Eid as a special time for reflection, gratitude, prayers, and acts of kindness, particularly toward those who are less privileged. He said the celebration also offers an opportunity for people to strengthen their faith and show greater care for others in society.
He further called on Nigerians to take advantage of the festive period to pray for peace, unity, national progress, and economic stability. While acknowledging the economic challenges facing many families, he emphasized the need for shared responsibility and collective efforts in finding lasting solutions for the country.
Onjeh also appealed to leaders at all levels to remain focused on the welfare of the people, stressing that public service should always be guided by sincerity, fairness, and commitment to the common good rather than personal interest.
The former National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students also offered prayers for God’s blessings, protection, and guidance for Muslim faithful and for the nation as a whole.
He concluded by wishing all Muslims a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Eid celebration.
