Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu delivered a standout performance as he scored twice to inspire Trabzonspor to a 2–1 victory over Konyaspor in the 2026 Turkish Cup final held in Antalya.
The match began with Trabzonspor taking control early, as Onuachu opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a composed finish that gave his side a deserved lead in a tightly contested encounter.
Konyaspor fought their way back into the game after the restart and eventually drew level through Congolese forward Jackson Muleka, who found the net in the second half to set up a tense finish.
As the game pushed toward its decisive moments, Onuachu stepped up once again, this time converting from the penalty spot in the 78th minute to restore Trabzonspor’s advantage and ultimately secure the win.
The result sealed a memorable cup triumph for Trabzonspor, who had fallen short in last season’s final but returned stronger to lift the trophy this time around with Onuachu playing a central role in their success.
