The Peoples Democratic Party in Niger State has appointed Hon. Abdulmajid Yaman Dalami as the Director General of its House of Representatives Campaign Organization for the Bida, Gbako and Katcha Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the party, which described Dalami as a committed party loyalist and an experienced grassroots mobilizer with the capacity to drive the campaign across the constituency.
The party said Dalami will be responsible for coordinating all campaign activities while taking its message of service, development and good governance to every ward within the constituency. The PDP also expressed confidence that he would lead a campaign focused on issues affecting the people while promoting peace and unity throughout the electioneering period.
The statement noted that his extensive background in political organization, community engagement and strategic planning made him the right choice for the role. It added that his appointment reflects the party’s determination to build a campaign structure rooted in trust, commitment and effective grassroots participation.
Dalami will oversee the campaign of Hon. Mathias Baba Tsado Gusadi, who emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party’s consensus candidate for the Bida, Gbako and Katcha Federal Constituency.
Tsado secured the party’s ticket after receiving the unanimous backing of stakeholders from Zone A of the Niger South Senatorial District. He has also successfully passed the PDP screening process, clearing the way for his participation in the 2027 general election.
Speaking after his emergence as the party’s candidate, Tsado assured residents of the constituency that he would provide quality and people centred representation capable of addressing the developmental needs of the area if elected.
The PDP expressed optimism that Dalami’s leadership would strengthen the campaign structure and unite party supporters across Bida, Gbako and Katcha Local Government Areas as it intensifies preparations for the 2027 polls.
