Big Brother Naija Level Up winner Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has returned to Instagram after her account was unexpectedly deactivated for reasons that remain unclear.
To mark her comeback, the reality television star shared a bold video from her birthday photoshoot, wearing a sheer outfit as she celebrated turning 29. Accompanying the clip, she simply wrote, “I’m 29. You welcome.”
Following her birthday celebration on June 2, Phyna also took to her X page to thank everyone who reached out with birthday wishes. She said the love and kind messages she received made her special day even more memorable.
As part of her birthday festivities, the reality star hosted popular streamer Carter Efe at her home. During the visit, a video surfaced showing him trying to get her to kiss him in exchange for reaching 1,000 subscribers, a moment that quickly attracted attention online.
Phyna has also been pursuing new opportunities beyond reality television. She recently revealed that she applied to Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, sharing a screenshot of her application while expressing hope that she would be selected.
Speaking on her podcast, the former BBNaija housemate disclosed that her main goal for this year and the early part of next year is to build enough financial stability before welcoming her first child. She clarified that she does not intend to carry the pregnancy herself but plans to have a baby through a surrogate.
In an earlier interview, Phyna opened up about her birth name, Blessing, admitting that she never liked it because she felt it did not reflect her life experiences. She explained that she often struggled to find love and acceptance within her family, friendships and relationships, saying those experiences shaped how she viewed herself.
Last month, she also made headlines after a video captured by streamer Davrel showed her attending to customers at a restaurant. Responding to the reactions, Phyna said she had no reason to be embarrassed. According to her, life is no longer as comfortable as it once was, and she would rather earn an honest living than create a false impression of wealth on social media.
The reality star has also spoken candidly about the pressures women face. During one episode of her podcast, she admitted that she sometimes wishes she were a man because she believes men generally face fewer societal expectations regarding success and ambition.
Phyna also shared the personal meaning behind the Phoenix tattoo on her back, describing it as a reflection of her life’s journey. She said the tattoo represents resilience, strength and survival, adding that despite the many challenges she has faced, she has continued to rise stronger each time.
