Controversial content creator and streamer Carter Efe has once again stirred the pot in the Nigerian entertainment scene, this time by challenging music icon Wizkid to a face-off in the boxing ring. During a high-energy livestream featuring business moguls Kcee and E-Money, Carter Efe made it clear that he is looking for a high-profile opponent to test his mettle as a self-proclaimed celebrity boxing champion.
The streamer, who recently claimed victory over Portable in the celebrity boxing circuit, seems confident in his physical prowess. In a bold and rather provocative statement, he specifically requested that Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, be present at the match to witness the encounter. Carter Efe dared the Starboy boss to step up and try to take the championship title from him if he truly feels man enough for the challenge.
This latest outburst is rooted in a long-standing grievance Carter Efe has nursed against the Grammy winner. The friction dates back to the release of Machala, a tribute song dedicated to Wizkid, which Carter Efe felt did not receive the level of public endorsement or support it deserved from the singer. Since then, the streamer has frequently voiced his frustrations online, though his remarks have often been met with a wall of silence.
Wizkid is well-known for his “no stress” mantra and has historically ignored the various jabs and tantrums directed at him by the content creator over the years. As expected, the global superstar has not offered any response to this recent boxing challenge.
