Tioroju Mondusi Speaks on Painful Paternity Discovery

Zoyols News

Veteran Nollywood actor Abdul Salam Taofeek, widely known as Tioroju Mondusi, has opened up about a deeply personal chapter of his life, revealing that he later discovered that some of the children he had raised were not biologically his.

Speaking during an interview on the African A List podcast, the actor described the experience as one of the most heartbreaking moments he has ever endured. According to him, the emotional wounds from the incident have remained difficult to heal, even years after the death of his former wife.

Taofeek recalled that the troubles in his marriage became evident after his wife, who was heavily pregnant at the time, reportedly left their home for several days without informing him of her whereabouts. He said the situation caused him immense distress and marked the beginning of a painful journey.

Reflecting on the experience, the actor said his late wife was the person who hurt him the most in life. Despite the pain he endured, he prayed for God’s forgiveness upon her.

He further alleged that he later discovered that while they were still legally married, his wife had participated in an introduction ceremony with another man. According to him, matters became even more complicated when she openly cast doubt on the paternity of the child she was expecting.

Taofeek claimed that following the collapse of their marriage, the issue eventually found its way to court. It was during the legal proceedings, he alleged, that his former wife admitted that both the third child and the last child were not biologically his. He also claimed that she had maintained a long standing relationship with another man throughout that period.

The actor said the revelations brought profound emotional pain and significantly altered the direction of his family life. He explained that coping with the betrayal was a difficult process, one that left a lasting impact on him both personally and emotionally.

He also disclosed that his former wife later passed away after facing personal struggles. According to him, the relationship she had pursued eventually broke down after the other man reportedly withdrew his support.

Since the interview surfaced online, Taofeek’s account has sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms. Many Nigerians have expressed sympathy for the actor, highlighting the emotional and psychological challenges often associated with paternity disputes and betrayal within marriages.

While the actor’s statements represent his personal account of the events, the disclosure has reignited public conversations about trust, honesty and the legal implications surrounding paternity fraud in marital relationships.
