Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tochi has told other ex-housemates who are struggling to drop the celebrity act and grind like everyone else. He said if life after the house is hard, they should pack the “I am a celebrity” talk away, come out and hustle, or they will cry worse than a newborn.
Tochi said he has even forgotten he entered the show, and now sees himself first as a businessman. Destiny is not the same for everyone, he added, and not every housemate is meant to blow from the programme. Keep your head up, he urged, and live your truth.
He also told them to be careful who they keep close. Stay with people who push you, he said, not those who keep whispering that you are a celeb until you cannot hear yourself. When people look at you, they should see a hustler with values trying to make it, not only an ex-housemate. Favour, he noted, meets a person who is already in motion.
Tochi was on Season 5, Lockdown, in 2020 and lasted two weeks before eviction. Since then he has stayed busy with entertainment and business, and still shares bits of his life and work with followers online.
