Transcorp Rewards Shareholders with N20.3 Billion Dividend

Zoyols News

Shareholders of Transnational Corporation Plc, popularly known as Transcorp Group, are set to enjoy a significant windfall following the declaration of a N20.3 billion total dividend payout. This announcement was the highlight of the company’s 20th Annual General Meeting held at the Transcorp Centre in Abuja, where investors celebrated a rewarding year of growth. The total payout translates to N2 per share, consisting of a N4.06 billion interim dividend already distributed in August 2025 and a final dividend of N16.259 billion.

During the meeting, the atmosphere was one of confidence as shareholders reviewed and approved the audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2025. Addressing the gathering, Transcorp Group Chairman, Mr. Tony O. Elumelu, expressed his gratitude to the investors and reaffirmed the board’s dedication to building long-term, sustainable wealth. The shareholders, in turn, praised the management team for maintaining a steady upward trajectory in a challenging economic landscape.

The financial highlights for 2025 paint a picture of a conglomerate firing on all cylinders. The Group’s revenue jumped by 33%, climbing from N408 billion in the previous year to a record N544 billion. The bottom line showed even more impressive gains, with Profit Before Tax rising to N179.5 billion and Profit After Tax surging by 44% to reach N135.9 billion. This performance further solidified the company’s market standing, with its combined market capitalization hitting N4.78 trillion by early May 2026.

Reflecting on the year’s success, Mrs. Owen Omogiafo, the President and Group CEO of Transcorp, attributed the results to a culture of disciplined execution and strategic resilience. She emphasized that the company is deeply invested in solving Nigeria’s persistent energy challenges, noting that Transcorp will continue to work tirelessly to bridge the gap between power supply and demand. She also pointed to the hospitality sector’s growth, citing the very venue of the meeting—the 5,000-seat Transcorp Centre—as proof of their commitment to expanding infrastructure and creating value across the country.
