Nollywood icons Patience Ozokwo and Nkem Owoh have once again proven that age is nothing but a number when it comes to having a good time. The legendary duo, who have graced our screens for decades, were recently spotted in a viral video showing off their impressive dance moves on a movie set. Dancing to the traditional rhythms of Ogene music, the two veterans appeared full of life, much to the delight of fans and colleagues alike.
The lively moment was captured after their director organized a surprise welcome for the stars by inviting a live band to the set. Patience Ozokwo, fondly known as Mama G, took to social media to share the experience, expressing deep gratitude for her health and the ability to still move so gracefully. She noted that they are “veterans for a reason” and thanked the production team for the warm reception that sparked the energetic display.
The footage has triggered a massive wave of affection from the entertainment industry. High-profile stars like Chioma Akpotha, Zubby Michael, and Omoni Oboli were quick to shower the legends with praise, calling them the “world’s best” and true “legends” of the craft. Other notable names, including Frederick Leonard and Jemima Osunde, joined the conversation with heart emojis, reflecting the deep respect the industry holds for these pioneers.
This heartwarming moment comes as Patience Ozokwo continues to celebrate a remarkable career. Not long ago, she was honored with a Hall of Fame award in Ghana, where she spoke emotionally about the importance of being celebrated while still alive. Having spent over 45 years in the limelight, she often reflects on her journey, which started with a single step and led to her becoming one of the most recognizable faces in African cinema.
Interestingly, this celebration of longevity coincides with a recent post from fellow veteran Kanayo O. Kanayo, who shared a photo with Ozokwo and Pete Edochie. He lightheartedly referenced their iconic on-screen personas, noting that their collective presence represents decades of storytelling mastery. It is clear that while the industry continues to evolve, the energy and charisma of stars like Nkem Owoh and Patience Ozokwo remain a source of inspiration for both the new generation and their lifelong fans.
