Scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2026, at JJT Park, Alausa, Ikeja, the outdoor event promises a total prize pool of ₦2.5 million, alongside free domestic flight tickets and other giveaways. Organised by Kandaval Communications, the gathering is designed to add a lively daytime attraction to Lagos’ popular Detty December activities.
Unlike conventional fitness competitions that focus on demanding workouts and technical athletic skills, Last Woman Standing Naija takes a more relaxed approach. The event will revive familiar childhood games, giving women an opportunity to reconnect, build friendships and enjoy healthy competition in a lively outdoor setting.
Up to 1,000 women will compete in a series of activities, including sack races, jump rope, hula hoop challenges and the Deephold Challenge, which will test participants’ concentration and ability to endure.
The ultimate winner will receive a grand prize of ₦1 million and earn the title of the first Last Woman Standing Naija champion. The remaining ₦1.5 million will be shared through more than 140 consolation prizes for other outstanding participants.
The excitement will not be limited to those taking part in the games. Spectators will also have opportunities to win free flight tickets to destinations across Nigeria, as well as branded gifts and other rewards simply by attending and supporting the contestants.
Tony Obot, Managing Director of Kandaval Communications, said the idea behind the event was to create a safe and enjoyable space where women could relax, connect and compete during the festive season.
He explained that the organisers noticed a gap in Lagos’ December entertainment calendar, which is largely dominated by night events, and wanted to introduce something different that women could enjoy during the day.
According to Obot, the familiar games are intended to bring back the joy of childhood while allowing participants to demonstrate their competitive spirit. He added that the ₦2.5 million prize structure and domestic flight rewards were designed to give winners meaningful benefits during the holiday period.
Obot also emphasised that the event was created to benefit more than just the overall champion. With over 140 consolation prizes and opportunities for spectators to win flight tickets, he said the organisers wanted everyone attending to have a chance to take something valuable home.
Registration is completely free, but participation in the competition is limited to the first 1,000 women who sign up. Interested contestants and spectators are therefore encouraged to register early to secure their places.
