Sixteen year old Osasere Okundaye has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the youngest chartered accountant in Nigeria, setting a new record and earning widespread recognition for her outstanding accomplishment.

Her success has drawn praise from the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who described the achievement as a powerful reflection of what young Nigerians can accomplish through dedication, discipline and a strong commitment to excellence.

In a statement released on Monday and obtained by Zoyols News, the minister congratulated Okundaye on reaching the historic milestone at such a young age. He said her achievement stands as proof that hard work, resilience and determination can lead to extraordinary success regardless of age.

Olawande noted that her accomplishment highlights the enormous potential within Nigeria’s youth. He said her journey should encourage other young people to believe in themselves, aim higher and pursue excellence with confidence. According to him, her success shows that with focus, commitment and the right support, Nigerian youths can overcome challenges, break records and inspire others to dream bigger.

The minister also acknowledged the vital role played by her parents, family, teachers and mentors throughout her journey. He commended their sacrifices, encouragement and unwavering belief in her abilities, noting that their support contributed significantly to her exceptional achievement.

He added that Okundaye’s success further strengthens the commitment of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development to creating opportunities that empower young Nigerians and build confidence in the country’s future.

Osasere Okundaye’s record comes one year after 18 year old Temilola Blossom Arise, a student of the University of Ilorin, successfully passed the professional stage examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, marking another impressive achievement by a young Nigerian in the accounting profession.
