World heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua is steadily continuing his recovery journey, months after surviving a devastating car accident in Nigeria that left him with serious injuries. The former champion has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation, with particular focus on treating his rib injuries as he works toward regaining full physical strength. According to updates shared by Zoyols, the athlete has remained committed to his recovery routine despite the emotional and physical toll of the incident.
The accident occurred on December 29, just days after Joshua recorded a victory over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Miami. While the boxer survived the crash, the incident resulted in the tragic deaths of two people close to him. His childhood friend and longtime associate Kevin “Latz” Ayodele, as well as his personal recovery therapist Sina Ghami, both lost their lives in the accident. The losses were widely described as deeply painful for the boxing star, who had worked closely with both men for several years.
Since the tragedy, Joshua has kept his focus on recovery and rebuilding his career fitness level. He recently shared images on social media showing him undergoing what appeared to be painful rib therapy sessions as part of his rehabilitation program. In one of his posts, he shared a short reflection on resilience, writing that going through difficult experiences often reveals inner strength that people may not realise they possess until they face such challenges.
Friends and long-time team members have been part of his support system during this period. Ayodele, popularly known as Latz, had been part of Joshua’s inner circle for years, while Ghami was heavily involved in managing the boxer’s physical conditioning and performance recovery throughout his professional career. Their absence has been widely felt by those close to the athlete, adding emotional weight to his recovery process.
Despite the emotional and physical challenges, Joshua continues to show determination to return to peak fitness. Fans have followed his recovery updates closely, sending messages of support as he gradually rebuilds strength and prepares for future boxing commitments.
