The new project climbed to the position less than two weeks after its release, sitting behind three K-pop releases. Stray Kids currently hold the top spot, with CORTIS and ATEEZ in second and third place respectively. South African star Tyla’s APOP* is in fifth position.
Starrgirl, released on August 14 through Mavin Records and Republic Records, is the singer’s third studio album. It features guest appearances from Wizkid, Rema, Zayn, Leon Thomas, kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora.
The album has also performed strongly on other charts. It reached No. 8 on the UK R&B Albums chart and hit the top spot on Spotify’s Nigeria album chart, while recording multiple No. 1 positions on Apple Music in several countries.
