Former Big Brother Naija housemate Doyin David has shared her advice with contestants heading into the eleventh season of the reality show, encouraging them to stay true to themselves instead of worrying about public opinion.
Speaking during the BBNaija Season 11 pre show media launch held in Lagos on Thursday, Doyin urged the incoming housemates to avoid playing it safe throughout the competition. She said contestants should not spend their time trying to please viewers or protect their image at the expense of showing their real personalities.
According to her, the house is a place where participants should freely express themselves without constantly thinking about how they might be judged. She encouraged them to speak their minds, make their own choices and accept whatever consequences may come after the show.
Doyin also warned against becoming inactive or fading into the background, saying no contestant should allow themselves to be remembered as someone who contributed little to the experience.
She further advised the new housemates to learn how to enjoy their own company. She noted that not everyone in the house will become close friends, and contestants should be emotionally prepared to stand on their own without allowing loneliness to affect their mental wellbeing.
The reality star stressed that confidence, authenticity and self belief are just as important as building relationships inside the house.
Meanwhile, the organisers have confirmed that Big Brother Naija Season 11 will officially premiere on July 26, 2026.
This year’s winner will walk away with the biggest prize package in the history of the show, valued at N160 million. The reward includes a cash prize of N100 million alongside a brand new SUV.
