Nollywood star Bolanle Ninalowo has shared a candid insight into his mindset, revealing that his focus isn’t on competing with others or envying their success. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the father of two emphasized that living a purpose-driven life is the ultimate flex.
“I compete with no one, I envy no one, and I don’t want what anyone else wants—but what I alone want. Maybe similar, but never the same. You cannot wake up where I slept. My only goal is to outdo my past, and not you,” Ninalowo wrote.
The actor, known for his confident and self-reflective nature, highlighted that true growth comes from challenging oneself rather than measuring against others.
Last year, he celebrated a personal milestone on Instagram, noting unprecedented engagement on a post within 24 hours and referring to himself as a “star man,” blessed with a star daughter and son.

He reacted to reports of an impersonator defrauding a woman of N33 million, expressing disbelief since his acting career hasn’t even earned him that per movie. In March, he lamented the proliferation of fake TikTok accounts using his name, despite not actively using the platform.

He describes counting his blessings as his biggest addiction and sees himself as a “child of Grace.” Though some may perceive him as selfish, he explained that prioritizing himself was necessary because he can’t expect to be everyone’s priority.
