Celtic Football Club has thrown its hat into the ring for Nigerian striker Terem Moffi, who is looking to exit French side OGC Nice. Moffi, 26, has been out of action since November after being assaulted by Nice supporters following a 3-1 loss to his former club Lorient.
The forward has filed a complaint with French football authorities, seeking to terminate his contract, which has three years left to run. Celtic isn’t the only club interested – FC Porto and Besiktas are also vying for his signature.
Moffi’s departure could be a loan, with Nice reportedly open to letting him go. Celtic’s interest comes as they look to bolster their attack, having added Julian Araujo and Tomas Cvancara on loan. With goals hard to come by, Moffi’s physical presence could be just what they need.
