Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has stirred reactions online after strongly condemning people celebrating singer Chike amid the controversy surrounding his alleged affair with the wife of broadcaster Frank Edoho.
Speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze said he was disappointed by the level of support the singer continues to receive despite the allegations linked to him. According to the former OAP, many men avoid relationships with married women because they understand the emotional damage and consequences that often come with such actions.
He stated that anyone who gets involved with another man’s wife should expect similar treatment in return someday. Freeze also questioned why people continue to support the singer’s music career despite the controversy, noting that Chike was still able to release an album because many fans remain willing to support him regardless of the situation.
Daddy Freeze particularly directed his anger at women defending the singer online. In his words, he described those celebrating Chike as “useless” and prayed against anyone encouraging such behaviour.
His comments immediately triggered fresh debates across social media, with several public figures and celebrities sharing different opinions on the matter.
Socialite Pretty Mike advised men to stay away from married women, warning that such relationships often end badly. He added that men should respect one another and remember that a woman willing to betray her husband once could repeat the same behaviour elsewhere.
Media personality Do2dtun also weighed in, insisting that cheating should never be justified, regardless of gender. He stressed that society has become too comfortable defending wrong actions simply for the sake of online arguments.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tuoyo described sleeping with married women as pure wickedness. According to him, no amount of temptation or money would ever make him cross such a line.
Reality star Tochi shared his own perspective, saying modern relationships lack the patience and endurance older generations once had. He suggested that marriages should come with penalties for partners who violate their vows.
In another comment, Tochi also argued that when two adults willingly engage in something, people should avoid placing all the blame on one person alone.
Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Success, described both Chike and Sandra as the biggest losers in the situation. He stated that while Frank Edoho may eventually move forward and rebuild his life, public trust often becomes difficult for those accused of adultery.
Actress Etinosa Idemudia called for fairness in how society handles such issues. She noted that adultery should not be condemned only when women are involved and urged both married men and women to remain faithful.
Comedian MC Lively also joined the conversation, pointing out what he described as society’s double standards. According to him, repeated cheating by married men is often tolerated, while women involved in similar situations receive far harsher criticism.
The controversy has continued to generate heated discussions online, with many Nigerians divided over morality, accountability, and the way celebrity relationship scandals are judged in public spaces.
