Falconnets Begin 2026 U-20 World Cup Camp in Poland

Nigeria’s U-20 women, the Falconnets, open World Cup camp on Monday in Trzebnica, a town in south-western Poland.

The squad is booked into Hotel Trzebnica until 3 September. Coach Moses Aduku’s team landed in Poland on Sunday afternoon.

Benfica Ladies striker Janet Akekoromowei, known as Semenya, flew in from Portugal to join the rest of the group. That is a lift for the Falconnets, who will lean on her goals after her club had tried to keep her from the tournament.

The U-20 Women’s World Cup starts on 5 September. Nigeria play Spain two days later in a hard opening match.
