Iran Condemns US Strike After Hospital Evacuation

Zoyols News

Iran has strongly condemned what it described as a “barbaric attack” by the United States after a strike near a cancer hospital in the country’s southwest forced the evacuation of hundreds of patients receiving treatment.

The Iranian government said the incident caused widespread fear and disruption, particularly among children undergoing medical care at the facility.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, in a statement shared on X, said the strike compelled the evacuation of 211 patients who were receiving chemotherapy. He described the development as deeply troubling and accused the United States of carrying out an attack that inflicted unnecessary suffering on vulnerable patients.

Baqaei compared the incident to previous attacks on healthcare facilities, saying the evacuation placed already fragile patients under severe emotional and physical strain.

Iran maintains that the strike had serious humanitarian consequences, with authorities highlighting the impact on sick children and other patients who were forced to leave the hospital while undergoing critical treatment.
