Nicki Minaj Opens Up About Her Political Passion

zoyolsblog

Global superstar and Grammy-winning rapper Nicki Minaj has opened up about her growing interest in politics, revealing it stems from a lifelong sense of purpose that became sharper during the last U.S. presidential election.

Speaking on the Katie Miller Podcast, a clip shared on Instagram by XXL, the Queens-born artist explained that her political instincts have been with her long before music fame. “I had this strong premonition my whole life that I had a second job to do,” Minaj said, hinting that she always felt destined for more than one path.

Her engagement deepened as she observed the recent presidential race, noticing that her judgments about policies and decisions often played out exactly as she anticipated. “I was saying, ‘This is a bad idea’ or ‘This is a good idea,’ and the things I was saying were coming to fruition. It made me think, if it’s this easy, maybe I should do it,” she said.

Minaj also reflected on how challenges and criticism have shaped her journey. “Sometimes people can push you so much that they push you all the way into your next calling, your next blessing,” she added, noting that these experiences often point toward one’s true purpose beyond the spotlight.

Her remarks show a side of the artist that is rarely discussed—a thoughtful, purpose-driven individual motivated not just by fame, but by a desire to understand and influence the world around her.
