The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has called up 26 players to a high-performance camp as the team begins preparations for the 2026 CAVB African Women’s Nations Cup in Nairobi. The tournament is set to run from August 23 to September 5 next year, and the camp is meant to give the squad the best possible start.
Those invited include a mix of regular national team players, top performers from the domestic league, and Nigerian professionals based overseas. The goal is to build a strong and balanced group that can compete well on the continent.
Camp opens on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the High Performance Centre in Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. Players are expected to arrive on time so that training can begin without delay under the national technical staff.
The programme will focus on sharpening fitness, tactics and individual skills ahead of the championship. Federation officials want everyone to take the camp seriously so the team can arrive in Kenya at its best.
