Olori Aderonke, the fifth wife of the Ooni of Ife, was a proud presence at her daughter’s wedding in London. Princess Toya and her husband, Prince Makanju, held their court wedding and reception in the city, with family and close friends in attendance.
In videos from the event, the queen was seen beaming as she posed with guests, clearly savouring the moment. The couple celebrated with a traditional reception after the legal ceremony.
Olori Aderonke’s union is part of the monarch’s current set of wives, which include Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth Akinmuda, Olori Tobi Phillips, Olori Ashley, Olori Ronke and Olori Temitope. The Ooni has welcomed children with three of them so far, including twin boys with Olori Mariam and a baby girl with Olori Oluwatosin earlier this year.
