Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen could miss next week’s Champions League return leg at Anfield if he picks up another yellow card against Liverpool on Tuesday.
The Nigerian forward is currently one booking away from a one-match ban, having received cautions earlier this season against Juventus and Atletico Madrid. The first leg at Rams Park will see Spanish referee Jesus Gil Manzano in charge.
Under UEFA rules, a player is suspended for one match after accumulating three yellow cards in the competition, provided no red cards are involved. Subsequent suspensions occur after every odd-numbered caution, meaning Osimhen must tread carefully to avoid missing the crucial return fixture.
Galatasaray will be eager to get a strong result at home, but Osimhen’s disciplinary situation adds extra pressure to an already high-stakes encounter.
