Trump Warns Iran Over Backing Hezbollah

Zoyols News

United States President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, threatening military action if Tehran fails to stop supporting armed groups in Lebanon as diplomatic talks get underway in Switzerland.

Trump made the statement on Sunday through his Truth Social platform, where he accused Iran of backing what he described as “highly paid proxies” operating in Lebanon.

His remarks were directed at Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed group that became involved in the Middle East conflict after launching attacks against Israel.

Recent clashes involving Hezbollah and Israel have raised fears that the fragile preliminary peace understanding between the United States and Iran could come under serious strain.

Trump warned that Iran must immediately put an end to the activities of the group or face another round of military action.

He declared that if Iran failed to act, the United States would strike the country again, adding that any future response would be even stronger than the operation carried out last week.

The latest warning comes as officials from both sides begin peace discussions in Switzerland in an effort to ease tensions and prevent further escalation across the region.
