A tragic collision on Wednesday evening in Jos North, Plateau State, has left two people dead after a tipper truck crushed a motorcycle at the Infant Jesus Junction along Rukuba Road. The accident occurred during the busy evening commute, as many residents were making their way home.

According to an eyewitness, Joy Nankin, the commercial motorcyclist was carrying two passengers when a speeding tipper suddenly collided with them at the junction.

Speaking on the incident, a local resident, Jude Bako, expressed deep concern over the rising frequency of fatal accidents on this particular stretch of road. Following the collision, authorities moved to clear the scene, and the bodies of those who lost their lives were transported to a local morgue. Security personnel were also on the ground to manage the resulting traffic congestion.

Reports made several attempts to reach the Federal Road Safety Corps Public Education Officer for Plateau State, Peter Longsan, as well as the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alabo Alfred, for official comments on the tragedy, but neither could be reached at the time of this report.
