Fresh Ukrainian drone attacks overnight struck two warehouse facilities owned by Russia’s leading online retailer, Wild berries, leaving one person injured and disrupting operations at the affected locations.
According to local authorities, a drone strike triggered a fire at one of the company’s warehouses in Russia’s western Penza region. The regional governor, Oleg Melnichenko, confirmed that one person sustained injuries, while more than 200 workers were safely evacuated from the facility.
In response to the incident, Wild berries said it had adjusted its logistics network to minimize disruptions. The company explained that the movement of goods and the processing of customer orders had been redirected to other warehouse locations.
A separate drone attack also hit another Wild berries warehouse in the city of Sarapul, located about 1,100 kilometers east of Moscow. The strike reportedly caused a fire at the site.
News gathered that employees at the Sarapul warehouse were evacuated immediately after the attack. Wild berries said preliminary reports indicated that no injuries were recorded in the incident as emergency teams responded to the scene.
