The management of Vaniti Lagos has come out in strong defense of its reputation, flatly denying recent allegations that the establishment served fake or adulterated beverages to its patrons. In an official response, the club described the claims as not only baseless but practically impossible given their strict procurement standards and direct ties with international beverage giants.
Through a statement shared by the CEO, Uyi Ogbebor, the club emphasized that its entire inventory is sourced through verified partnerships with global brands such as Moët Hennessy and Pernod Ricard. To reinforce this point, the management provided documentation and receipts of their dealings with these major suppliers. They argued that their current supply chain structure acts as a foolproof guarantee against the entry of counterfeit products into the club.
The controversy began after a TikTok user, claiming to have traveled from Moscow with a group of friends, alleged they suffered severe stomach distress after a night at the venue. However, the club has pointed out significant holes in the accuser’s story. The individual failed to provide any concrete evidence of his visit, such as purchase receipts or medical reports confirming that the illness was indeed linked to their consumption at the club.
The credibility of the accuser has also come under intense scrutiny. Vaniti Lagos noted that the person behind the campaign does not seem to be based in Nigeria, which has led them to question the true motives and potential sponsorship behind the allegations. The management is now calling for anyone who was actually at the club on the night in question to share their experiences. They expressed a desire for transparency, urging any genuine customers who might have faced similar issues to step forward so the matter can be resolved properly.
Meanwhile, the CEO, popularly known as Sir Uyi, has taken a more personal stance on the matter. In a series of social media posts, he hinted that he is tired of staying silent while his business and character are under attack. He dismissed the idea that he is just a newcomer to the industry, warning that he has kept records of every deal and every betrayal he has faced.
Uyi revealed that he is currently working on a book that will detail his journey, his truth, and the evidence he has gathered over the years. He promised that the upcoming publication would include names, dates, and receipts, serving as a comprehensive response to those he believes are working against him. For now, Vaniti Lagos remains firm in its position, maintaining that their commitment to quality and authentic service remains unshaken despite what they describe as a calculated smear campaign.
