Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake are set to headline Afro Nation 2026 in Portugal, promising a festival packed with chart-topping hits and global vibes. Organisers confirmed the star-studded lineup on X-@AfroNation, highlighting a mix of legendary acts and emerging talents set to electrify the stage.
The festival will run from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5 at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal. Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning “African Giant,” will kick off the celebrations on July 3, sharing the stage with South Africa’s breakout star Tyla, whose Amapiano and Afrobeats fusion has captured international attention.
Asake, known for his catchy blend of Afrobeats, street pop, and soulful rhythms, will headline July 4, while Wizkid will close out the festival on July 5, delivering what promises to be an unforgettable finale.
The Afro Nation lineup also includes international names like American R&B singer Kehlani and rapper Gunna, bringing cross-genre energy to the three-day music spectacle. Nigerian acts including Olamide, Young John, Darkoo, Wande Coal, and Mavo are also confirmed, reflecting the global rise of African music and culture.
Early access tickets will go on sale February 5, giving fans the chance to secure their spots before general release. Since its launch in 2019, Afro Nation has grown into a major cultural movement, celebrating African and international artists across Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B, Hip Hop, Dancehall, and more. Beyond Portugal, the festival has also hosted editions in Ghana, Puerto Rico, Miami, and Detroit, cementing its status as a global platform for African music.
