Women in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State have expressed their readiness to mobilise voters for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hajiya Aisha Umar, Chairperson of Operations of the Kaduna State Environmental Task Force, said women would play a major role in the party’s grassroots campaign, with plans to rally supporters in large numbers for both leaders.
Umar spoke with journalists in Kaduna on Saturday during the distribution of vehicles to APC local government chairmen by the state government. She described the initiative as a major achievement, noting that she had not witnessed a similar effort since becoming involved in politics.
She commended Governor Uba Sani and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for providing the vehicles, saying the move would strengthen the party’s activities at the grassroots and improve its preparations for the forthcoming elections.
According to Umar, the performance of the Tinubu and Uba Sani administrations in road construction, community development and efforts to empower residents would help the APC retain public support in Kaduna State.
“We are more than ready to mobilise more women because women are the most reliable in politics,” she said.
Umar expressed confidence in the party’s readiness for the 2027 elections, adding that APC women would step up their mobilisation efforts to support Tinubu’s re election campaign and Uba Sani’s political ambition.
She maintained that the party would work to ensure a strong turnout of women at the polls, describing their participation as an important part of its grassroots strategy ahead of the elections.
