“Chiwetalu Agu: Don’t Let Old Age Bills Drain Your Fun”

zoyolsnews

Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has shared some hard-hitting advice for young people, urging them to enjoy life while they are still in their prime—but to do so with wisdom and foresight.

In a recent social media clip, Agu reflected on the realities of aging, highlighting that growing older comes with a host of health challenges. From diabetes and high blood pressure to heart, kidney, and liver issues, he painted a candid picture of the struggles that often accompany later years. Stroke and cognitive problems are also part of the mix, he added.

“Enjoy yourself while you are young,” Agu said. “Time waits for no one. Live fully, but also plan wisely. Old age is not child’s play.”

He tied his message to a timeless principle, referencing Ecclesiastes 3:1: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.” For Agu, the key to truly enjoying old age lies in preparation—spiritually, emotionally, and financially.

“Hold God close. Treat your family right. And make plenty money,” he advised. “I’m not trying to scare anyone. I’m just being honest. The bills you’ll face in old age are far heavier than what you spend at clubs today. Invest wisely now while you still can.”

Agu’s message resonates as both a caution and a call to action. He reminded young people that happiness in youth should not come at the expense of the future. Enjoy life, he said, but do so with responsibility, ensuring that the laughter of today doesn’t turn into the stress of tomorrow.
