A Bangkok cosmetic clinic has told investigators that Nigerian content creator Igho Tiny Ubiribo asked for a penis enlargement treatment to be done in one sitting even after a doctor said it should be split into two. Ubiribo, a London based influencer, died on 6 March, less than a day after hyaluronic acid filler injections at the clinic, according to inquest records from Westminster Coroner’s Court .
An inquest hearing on 21 August heard that a post mortem and toxicology work linked his death to the hyaluronic acid injection and a pulmonary embolism. Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health said on 7 September that it had opened an inquiry into the clinic. Minister Pattana Phromphat ordered the Department of Health Service Support and the Food and Drug Administration to look into what happened. Early checks showed a private hospital in Bangkok had called an emergency medical centre for an ambulance after a patient was found unconscious.
Inquest papers say Ubiribo felt chest pain and collapsed on 5 March, hours after the procedure. He was taken to a local hospital for a CT scan but lost consciousness before it could be done. Staff gave CPR for 101 minutes. He was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. on 6 March.
Authorities inspected the clinic on 7 September to see whether it met medical standards. DHSS Director General Phuwadet Surakot said the clinic was not named in public. Management told investigators Ubiribo had been a patient since 2024 and had already had five penile enlargement injections. They said a doctor had advised splitting the March 5 treatment into two visits, but Ubiribo asked for it in one session. The clinic said he signed a consent form before each visit, was given aftercare advice, and had never reported trouble after earlier treatments.
The inquiry is meant to show whether the clinic followed medical and professional rules. The ministry said it would collect the facts and pass the file to the Medical Council for a ruling on practice standards, so that all sides are treated fairly.
Ubiribo had more than 180,000 Instagram followers and often posted about life with his wife, Dani Allen.
