Deeone calls out Davido’s messy comment on Chike’s page

Zoyols News

The Nigerian entertainment scene is currently buzzing with intense drama as comedian Deeone publicly called out Afrobeats superstar Davido over a comment he left on singer Chike’s Instagram page. The controversy stems from swirling rumors connecting Chike to the highly publicized marital crisis of media personality Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya.

When reports began circulating about an alleged romantic entanglement between Chike and Sandra, Davido reacted by dropping a simple comment—”Wahala”—on Chike’s latest social media post. This didn’t sit well with Deeone, who took to a video broadcast to express his disappointment. The comedian questioned whether Davido was indirectly endorsing the alleged affair, suggesting the singer should show more self-respect. Deeone went further to caution the music star, hinting that because Davido and his wife live abroad, he should be mindful of karma finding its way back to his own doorstep.

This social media clash follows a turbulent week for Frank Edoho, the iconic former host of the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Frank recently released a statement addressing the collapse of his second marriage, expressing gratitude to the public for their support and reassuring well-wishers that he has emotionally come to terms with the separation. He emphasized that he is currently at peace and focused on his personal well-being.

However, the situation quickly escalated after an audio recording allegedly featuring Sandra and Chike leaked online. In the leaked audio, Sandra could be heard venting to the singer about the friction in her home and revealing that her husband had grown deeply suspicious of their relationship. She admitted that the marriage was crumbling under the weight of Frank’s intense questioning regarding her closeness with Chike.

Adding fuel to the fire, Sandra launched a series of explosive allegations against Frank on her Instagram page, accusing him of serial infidelity and emotional abuse. She claimed the veteran broadcaster had affairs with several notable figures, including reality TV star Tega Dominic and actress Mbong Amata. Sandra further alleged that Frank would vanish for days at a time, mismanage her finances, and even bring other women into their shared home.

As the drama unfolded, an old interview resurfaced where Chike openly discussed his romantic preferences. The soulful vocalist explained that he has a strong affinity for dating older women, praising them for their emotional maturity and lack of unnecessary drama. Chike noted that mature women offer better communication and peace of mind—traits he deeply values in a partner—which many internet users are now tying back to the current scandal.

The breakdown of this union marks the end of Frank Edoho’s second marriage. During a previous appearance on the Tea with Tay podcast, Frank had candidly announced his separation from Sandra, stating that despite his absolute best efforts to make both of his marriages work, things unfortunately fell apart.

Frank and Sandra tied the knot following his first divorce and stayed together for over a decade, a union that blessed them with two children and brought Frank’s total number of children to five. Long before the official confirmation of their split, whispers had already filled the industry that the marriage was rocked by infidelity involving a prominent musician, a narrative that has now taken center stage in the wake of these new revelations.
