Divine Intervention: Ruth Eze Narrowly Escapes Death at Home

Zoyols News

The Nigerian entertainment industry has seen a troubling string of domestic accidents lately, and Nollywood actress Ruth Eze is the latest to share a harrowing testimony of survival. The actress narrowly escaped what could have been a fatal incident when the Plaster of Paris (POP) ceiling in her bedroom came crashing down.

The actress took to her social media to share footage of the wreckage, clearly shaken by how close she came to disaster. In her emotional post, she credited her safety to divine intervention, explaining that she had stepped out of the room just before the heavy structure collapsed. She urged her fans and well-wishers to join her in praising God, noting that the incident could have easily claimed her life had she been in bed at the time.

This frightening ordeal is unfortunately a recurring nightmare for the actress. About two years ago, she faced a similar situation when the ceiling in her living room gave way. The frequency of these incidents has sparked concern among her colleagues and fans, with fellow actress Omalicha advising her to reconsider using that specific type of ceiling material in the future. Other stars, including Ruby Ojiakor, Ngozi Ezeh, and Shan George, also reached out to offer prayers and support.

Ruth Eze is far from the only celebrity to face this particular danger. Reports notes that several public figures have reported similar “near-miss” experiences with collapsing ceilings. Last year, reality TV star Queen Mercy Atang recounted how her mother discovered their living room ceiling had caved in, while actress Nkechi Blessing has survived two separate POP collapses at her Lekki residence. Similarly, Bolaji Ogunmola and BBNaija’s Chichi have both shared testimonies of surviving ceiling collapses that occurred right at their bedsides.

The trend has even extended to the comedy and filmmaking sectors. Skitmaker Zics Aloma once narrated how he was woken up by the thunderous sound of his living room ceiling falling, narrowly missing him and his crew members. Veteran actor Charles Inojie also shared a chilling story of survival when a massive water tank crashed onto his favorite sitting spot, a place he luckily wasn’t occupying at the moment of impact. These stories serve as a stark reminder of the hidden dangers that can lurk within the home, even in supposedly high-end residences.
