Businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu has taken a trip down memory lane after coming across an old business card from his early career as a photocopier salesman.
Elumelu shared a photograph of the card on his X handle on Thursday, describing it as a reminder of his days as a young and determined sales representative.
The card identifies him as a Sales Executive with Precissa Sales Limited, with the company’s address listed as Bode Thomas Street in Surulere, Lagos.
Looking back at that period, Elumelu said the experience helped him develop qualities that have remained important throughout his business career, particularly resilience, negotiation and determination.
He said the card also reminded him that future success is often built on the discipline and effort put in during the early stages, even when there is little recognition.
Elumelu encouraged young professionals and entrepreneurs to remain committed to their goals, stressing the importance of consistency and continuous learning.
“Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep executing,” he said.
