Falz has reacted after a fan reached out to him with a heartfelt message encouraging him to settle down.
The Nigerian rapper and actor, whose real name is Folarin Falana, shared the message on his Instagram story. In it, the fan expressed a strong desire to see him get married, just like many other celebrities, and hinted at being curious to see how his journey would unfold.
Replying in his usual calm and witty manner, Falz pointed out how much importance many Nigerians place on marriage. He made it clear that he wasn’t offended by the message, noting that choosing a life in entertainment naturally puts parts of his personal life in the public eye. Still, he couldn’t help but joke about the suggestion, wondering out loud if he should carry out a “quick matrimonial experiment” just to satisfy the curiosity.
He wrote that being an entertainer means his life often becomes part of people’s conversations, adding that he appreciates the fan’s concern even if he doesn’t necessarily agree with the idea.
Despite the ongoing interest in his love life, Falz has consistently kept his personal affairs away from public scrutiny. In an earlier interview, he explained that sharing too much online often invites unnecessary interference, which rarely ends well. For him, it’s about knowing what to share and what to keep private.
That approach has reflected in how little is known about his relationships. Over the years, he has not been clearly linked to anyone romantically. The only notable speculation came years ago when online users paired him with singer Simi, a claim that didn’t hold up.
Away from music and acting, Falz tends to keep a low profile. He occasionally steps into the spotlight to speak on social issues, something he is well known for. Although he once mentioned taking a break from activism to focus on himself, he made it clear that it remains an important part of who he is.
