Tyson Fury says Anthony Joshua is pulling out of their proposed fight and is now pushing for another shot at Oleksandr Usyk instead.
The two British heavyweights have been in talks for months over a November date, but with no official announcement yet, Fury has lost patience. In a blunt Instagram video, the 38-year-old accused Joshua of backing down and labelled him weak-minded.
Fury, who has lost twice to Usyk, claimed Joshua’s work with the Ukrainian’s training team shows where his real influence lies. He challenged Usyk directly to run it back in November, saying the decision is now with the two-time undisputed champion.
The fight between Fury and Joshua was expected to land at Madison Square Garden, though Joshua’s side favoured Wembley. With Saudi-backed promotion Sela and Netflix involved, the United States remains the likely destination if the bout goes ahead.
