Gombe State Governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has officially launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) digital membership registration and revalidation exercise in the state, describing it as a key step to strengthening the party’s grassroots base and positioning it for continued electoral success.

The governor inaugurated the exercise shortly after revalidating his own membership at the state party secretariat. He was registered by the APC Registration Agent of Jekadafari Ward, Ukasha Hussaini, in the presence of the Ward Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Dan Gombe, and other party officials.

Governor Yahaya called the digital registration and revalidation a landmark innovation, emphasizing that it will accurately capture the party’s true strength across the country. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the national leadership of the APC for introducing the system, highlighting the requirement for National Identity Numbers, Voter Cards, and APC membership cards as essential for credibility, transparency, and ensuring genuine party participation.

He urged APC members and supporters throughout Gombe State to actively take part in the exercise and obtain digital certification as bona fide members. The governor assured that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a smooth, inclusive, and seamless process across the state.

Governor Yahaya reiterated the APC’s commitment to delivering good governance and sustainable development. He pointed to his administration’s achievements over the past seven years, noting the significant transformation in the state’s socio-economic and infrastructural landscape. “The guiding principle of our APC administration is to improve conditions beyond what we inherited. Anyone with doubts can reflect on the state of Gombe when we took office to see how far we have come,” he said.

Acknowledging the support of the APC and the people of Gombe State, Governor Yahaya described the party as deeply rooted and rock-solid in the state. He pledged to continue providing purposeful leadership and warned that the party would not tolerate individuals attempting to create disunity, with disciplinary measures ready for those undermining unity and stability.

The governor also stressed that the digital registration and revalidation exercise will further consolidate the APC’s capacity to contest and win elections at all levels.

Earlier, the Gombe State APC Chairman, Mr. Nitte Amangal, said the exercise aims to strengthen the party’s numerical base and enhance organizational efficiency ahead of the 2027 general elections. He added that the governor’s participation formally launched the exercise across the state and encouraged all party members to actively engage in the process.

The initiative reflects the APC’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive political participation.
