A week after the sudden passing of gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu, his twin brother and musical partner, Kehinde Adegbodu, has broken his silence regarding the tragic loss. While the initial announcement of Taiwo’s death on March 1, 2026, left fans and the public in the dark about the circumstances, Kehinde has now provided clarity on the events that led to the heartbreaking moment.
During a gathering of visitors at their family residence in Ibadan, Kehinde shared a deeply personal account of their final hours together. In a video that has since gained widespread attention, he insisted that his brother had been in good health and showed no signs of illness before the incident.
According to Kehinde, the two had just completed their nightly routine of prayers around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28. Everything seemed normal as they retired to their separate rooms for the night. However, the situation changed rapidly just before 11:00 p.m.
Kehinde recounted that Taiwo knocked on his door at approximately 10:55 p.m., clearly distressed and complaining of intense chest pain. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Kehinde immediately rushed him to the hospital. Sadly, despite the quick response, Taiwo passed away only a few minutes after their arrival. Medical professionals determined that the singer had suffered a fatal heart attack.
For those who followed the legendary gospel duo, the news remains a heavy blow. By sharing these details, Kehinde has provided a sense of closure to a tragedy that shocked their followers, confirming that his brother’s passing was as unexpected as it was swift.
