Liz Da Silva Fires Warning: Don’t Mistake My Silence

Zoyols News

Nollywood actress Liz Da Silva has delivered a strong warning to an unidentified individual, making it clear that she will not tolerate disrespect or unnecessary provocation.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress said she is not one of those who put on a different personality whenever they appear online. According to her, people close to her understand her true character and know she is capable of standing up for herself whenever the need arises.

Liz explained that while she values peace and carries herself with respect, she also has a side that should not be taken for granted. She stressed that anyone who chooses to cross the line should be ready for her response.

She also dismissed the idea that her calm nature should be mistaken for weakness, insisting that remaining quiet does not mean she lacks the courage to defend herself. Advising the unnamed person to focus on their own affairs, she urged them to stay in their lane.

Speaking in the video, she said she is not among those who come online pretending to behave differently for public approval. She described herself as someone whose personality includes kindness, faith and toughness, adding that those who know her personally can testify to that.

She further questioned why anyone would mistake her silence for ignorance, maintaining that her decision to stay quiet should never be interpreted as being incapable of reacting when pushed too far.

Her outburst comes at a time when conversations about fake lifestyles and public image within the entertainment industry continue to attract attention.

Actress Habibat Jinad recently admitted that she sometimes wishes she could master the art of pleasing people, noting that she has never been good at pretending or living a fake life. She added that she remains loyal only to those who genuinely stand by her.

Wumi Toriola also weighed in on the issue, revealing that she often feels tempted to respond whenever she comes across online discussions ranking the most decent actresses in Nollywood. According to her, many of the names frequently mentioned do not truly reflect who those individuals are in real life, as she believes several people are only projecting carefully crafted images.

Veteran actor Yinka Quadri has equally called for greater unity within the Nigerian film industry. He urged stakeholders in Nollywood and the wider entertainment sector to speak with one voice against false accusations, libel and slander.

He suggested that the industry should consider establishing a dedicated legal team to defend entertainers against damaging allegations, stressing that celebrities are human beings with emotions and should not be subjected to emotional blackmail without consequences.
