Emmanuel Adediran, Business Unit Director at Plus Acuity Ltd and digital transformation lead at mediaReach OMD Nigeria, has received the Outstanding Contribution to Industry Advancement Award at the fourth Location Marketing Awards.
Presented in Lagos, the award recognises his decade of work promoting research, data-led decision-making and talent development across Nigeria’s out-of-home advertising and marketing communications industries.
LOMA convener Kingsley Onwukaeme described Adediran as an important contributor to the growth of the country’s outdoor advertising sector, pointing to his thought leadership, support for the awards and work in audience research.
In 2026, Adediran chaired the independent expert committee behind Nigeria’s first Out-of-Home Advertising Consumer Penetration and Audience Behaviour Study, commissioned by OOH Academy Nigeria. The nationwide research examines how people engage with outdoor advertising and offers insights to guide industry planning and investment.
Adediran has also shared analysis of media trends through initiatives such as Top Trends, which has highlighted the rising investment in out-of-home advertising. His wider research work includes co-authoring the NIMN and Lagos Business School report Community, Culture, and Connection: Re-imagining the New Market, and serving on the committee for an ARCON and PwC study on the size and economic contribution of Nigeria’s marketing communications industry.
Since 2016, he has helped produce the MediaFacts Book, covering English and French-speaking West and Central Africa. He also developed Top Trends in partnership with Lagos Business School, NIMN and GeoPoll, and co-authored Africa’s Goldmine: A Guide to Winning Customers in Its Unstructured Market with Professor Uchenna Uzo.
