Nigerian street singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly called out his babymamas for preventing him from spending time with his children. In a video that surfaced online, he demanded that they bring his kids to visit him, questioning whether he is being denied access simply because he isn’t close to their mothers.
Portable emphasized that only a father without means would be ignored by his own children. He reminded them that he attended the naming ceremonies for all his kids and even gave money to their families. “Bring my children home to visit me. At least if I am not having s*x with you again, I should be able to see my children. It is only a broke Dad that his children will not ask for. This is to all my baby mamas from the 1st to the 10th. I celebrated the naming ceremonies for all my children, and I gave your family members money. Am I not their father? Bring them to me,” he said.
Just a day earlier, Portable had expressed frustration over being left out of his children’s Eid Mubarak celebrations. He revealed that his kids weren’t brought to his house to celebrate with him and even prayed for Ogun to “scatter” those who denied him. Despite past relationship difficulties, he stressed that he remains their father and predicted that, eventually, they would come seeking him.
Portable is married to Bewaji, with whom he shares two children, and he has four other kids with three different women. His first baby mama remains unnamed; his second is Keji, and his third is actress Ashabi, who has two children with him. Late last year, Bewaji announced she was expecting their third child, sharing a touching video of herself and her baby bump on Instagram.
The singer has previously clarified his relationship status, insisting that he has only one wife but several babymamas. In January, he criticized the women in his life while showing off a new car, claiming he would rather spend money on himself than on those who do not appreciate it. Portable also praised Bewaji as the only one truly praying for him, urging her to value him as his wife.
In response to his remarks, Bewaji shared a video defending herself, stating that she has changed because she refuses to be a fool for him any longer. The exchange highlights the tensions in Portable’s personal life, even as he continues to navigate fatherhood, relationships, and public scrutiny.
