The Presidency has maintained that the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council list for 2027 remains in force. It stressed that while some adjustments are expected in the coming days, there has been no withdrawal of the list.
Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, gave the clarification on Wednesday while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily. His comments followed reports suggesting that the list was being reviewed after some party chieftains raised concerns over who was included and who was left out.
Dare explained that the structure is still being built and that several subcommittees are yet to be set up. According to him, this means more names will naturally be added as the process moves forward. He noted that this is standard practice with such lists.
He also pointed to a statement issued by the APC the previous day, confirming that the list had not been withdrawn. Dare added that while the list is valid, it is not final and some changes are expected as more details are worked out.
