In a significant move ahead of the next election cycle, the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its sole candidate for the 2027 presidential race. The decision was reached during a major stakeholders’ mobilization meeting held on Monday at the Soun Ogunlola Hall in Oja’gbo, Ogbomoso.
Senator Teslim Folarin, the Oyo State coordinator for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the President is working tirelessly to fix the country’s foundation. He noted that the administration’s focus remains on repositioning Nigeria to ensure long-term prosperity, stability, and peace for every citizen.
Senator Folarin urged party members to take the “Renewed Hope” message directly to the grassroots. He pointed out that it is the responsibility of well-informed supporters to educate others on the quality of leadership being provided by the current administration and the tangible steps being taken to improve the national economy.
The Senator highlighted that the meeting in Ogbomoso was more than just a political gathering; it was a demonstration of the unity and love currently prevailing within the Oyo APC. He assured the stakeholders that at the right time, the party would launch a massive mobilization drive across every corner of the state to ensure a total victory for the APC in 2027.
Adding her voice to the call for internal cohesion, the former First Lady of Oyo State and ambassador-designate, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, encouraged members to prioritize peace and togetherness. She reminded the party faithful that the strength of the APC lies in its unity, urging everyone to work hand-in-hand to achieve the party’s objectives.
