Wale Adenuga Breaks Silence on Why He Fired ‘Papa Ajasco’ Star

Zoyols News

The intricate history between veteran filmmaker Wale Adenuga and actor Abiodun Ayoyinka has taken center stage following new revelations regarding the actor’s departure and subsequent return to the iconic “Papa Ajasco” series. This development surfaces just as Ayoyinka made headlines by opening up about the financial hardships he has faced, despite the massive fame he gained playing the legendary lead character.

In a recent conversation shared with Reports, Wale Adenuga addressed the friction that led to the actor’s initial exit, citing what he described as a significant breach of trust. According to the producer, the trouble began when Ayoyinka allegedly organized an unauthorized tour using the “Papa Ajasco” brand without any clearance from the production house. The situation reportedly escalated when the Nigerian Copyright Commission alerted the producers that the actor was attempting to register the brand name independently. Adenuga was blunt about the fallout, noting that such a level of betrayal left him with no choice but to dismiss the actor at the time.

Despite the past bitterness, the two eventually found a way to work together again, a move Adenuga describes as a pragmatic business decision. He admitted that while managing talented individuals can be difficult, he recognizes the unique skill set Ayoyinka brings to the screen. The filmmaker noted that as a producer, one often has to balance a performer’s temperament against their sheer talent. Ultimately, he decided that Ayoyinka’s acting abilities were too valuable to ignore, leading to his reinstatement in the role that made him a household name.

On his part, Abiodun Ayoyinka seems to be embracing a complete transformation as he moves forward in his career. In a video message recently spotted by Reports, the actor introduced himself under a new stage name, Bondu Alaska. Expressing deep gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support through his ups and downs, he promised to turn over a new leaf and remain committed to his craft. He assured his audience that he is a changed man and is determined not to let down those who have stood by him.
