Zoyols News
Nollywood actress and film producer Wumi Toriola is set to give her son, Zion, a memorable seventh birthday celebration, fulfilling a promise she made to him two years ago.

The actress shared beautiful photographs of her son on her official Instagram page ahead of his birthday on October 13, expressing gratitude to God for the gift of motherhood and the joy of watching him grow.

In her birthday message, Toriola described Zion as her greatest blessing, an answered prayer and a constant reminder of God’s faithfulness. She also expressed appreciation for his life, good health, growth and the privilege of raising him.

Recalling how the birthday celebration came about, the actress explained that she had promised her son a big party when he turned five. However, she could not fulfil the promise at the time because she was busy filming her first cinema movie, Queen Lateefah.

Rather than abandon the plan, Toriola assured Zion that she would make it up to him when he turned seven. With his seventh birthday now here, the actress is making good on her word by organising the grand celebration she promised him.

She expressed excitement over the milestone, describing her son as smart, intelligent and kind. She also credited God for making it possible to fulfil the promise, emphasising that the celebration was happening by His grace.

The proud mother wrote, “Of all the beautiful blessings God has given me, you remain my greatest gift. My answered prayer, my joy, my heartbeat, and a constant reminder of God’s faithfulness. Being your mother is a blessing I will never take for granted.”

She went on to recall the promise she made when Zion turned five, explaining that her work on Queen Lateefah prevented her from celebrating him the way she had planned. She added that she had promised to make his seventh birthday special, a commitment she is now happy to fulfil.

Toriola’s birthday celebration comes shortly after she opened up about the challenges she has been facing with her YouTube channel. In an emotional video, the actress revealed that the platform had been experiencing technical problems, a situation that had taken an emotional toll on her.

She admitted that she had cried privately despite promising herself that she would not break down in public. The actress later shared another message in which she disclosed how much she had needed love, encouragement and comfort in recent days.

According to her, faith had been keeping her going through the difficult period.

Despite the challenges, Toriola’s latest birthday message reflects her gratitude for her son and the opportunity to celebrate another year of his life. For the actress, the occasion is not just about throwing a big party but also about keeping a promise that means a great deal to her and her little boy.
