As the world usher in 2026, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared his spiritual outlook for the year. Speaking during the traditional Cross Over Service at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the revered cleric offered a message of hope and restoration to thousands of congregants and millions following globally.
Pastor Adeboye characterized 2026 as a year that will be far more remarkable than its predecessor. He noted that the metaphorical “wind” that began blowing in 2024 is set to gain even more momentum, bringing with it a wave of fresh opportunities. The cleric encouraged believers to expect a season defined by breakthroughs, victories, and a significant decline in the rate of failure compared to last year. He predicted that many will finally experience long-awaited turnarounds, leading to a chorus of testimonies centered on God remembering His people at last.
Specifically addressing the Nigerian context, the General Overseer shared several optimistic projections that touch on the daily lives of citizens. A key highlight of his prophecy is the predicted reduction in hunger across the land, a message that offers much-needed relief to many families. Furthermore, the cleric foresee a vibrant period for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which he believes will begin to blossom significantly in the coming months.
Perhaps one of the most surprising revelations for the year is what the Pastor described as a “Reversed Japa” trend. He noted that many Nigerians who had previously moved abroad in search of greener pastures will find compelling reasons to return home. This shift, suggests a growing confidence in the local economy and a potential improvement in the country’s social and economic climate.
On the international stage, the prophecies lean toward a more stable global atmosphere. Pastor Adeboye indicated that the likelihood of a major world war has diminished compared to the previous year. However, regarding the environment, he warned that weather patterns would largely mirror those seen in 2025, with the added possibility of a couple of major hurricanes hitting certain regions. As the year unfolds, these words from the pulpit have provided a spiritual roadmap for many looking to navigate the challenges and opportunities of 2026.
