2027: Wike Challenges Other States to Join Rivers for Tinubu

Barrister Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has called on political leaders across Nigeria to study and adopt the unique “rainbow coalition” model currently driving the political landscape in Rivers State. Speaking during a high-profile “thank-you” visit to the Ahoada West Local Government Area, Wike suggested that this broad-based alliance is the most effective blueprint for securing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.

The Minister, known for his straight-talking approach, pointed out that Rivers State has achieved a rare level of political synergy that blurs traditional party lines. According to Wike, the state is no longer caught in the grip of rigid partisan battles; instead, it has consolidated into what he calls the “Renewed Hope Family.” He noted that while other regions are still navigating internal party frictions, the alliance in Rivers is built on organic unity and a singular focus on the President’s 2027 victory.

In his address, monitored by Zoyols Blog, Wike emphasized that the political strength of Rivers is rooted in a tradition of consensus and firm leadership. He took a moment to reflect on the state’s political history, acknowledging that while past agreements occasionally led to challenges, those experiences have served as valuable lessons. He insisted that the current structure is designed to be resilient against external pressures, providing a stable foundation that he believes other states should replicate for total success at the national level.

Local leaders in Ahoada West greeted the Minister’s visit with enthusiasm. Hon. Chita Eugene Epelle, the local government chairman, described Wike as a “political field marshal” whose influence has redefined public service in the South-South region. He expressed deep appreciation for Wike’s continued interest in the development of Ahoada West, framing the visit as both a moment of pride for the community and a renewal of their collective political commitment.

As the 2027 election cycle begins to take shape, Wike’s push for this “rainbow coalition” highlights a shifting strategy where results and unity take precedence over old party labels. For the Minister, the goal is clear: a unified front that ensures the President’s agenda remains the driving force of the nation’s future.
