The legal battle involving Amos Isah, the founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, is reaching a critical stage as the FCT High Court in Gwarinpa prepares to resume proceedings on May 14. The Abuja-based cleric is facing serious allegations involving the assault of a 14-year-old girl, a member of his own congregation, in an incident said to have occurred in May 2025. The prosecution alleges that the teenager was lured to the church auditorium under false pretenses before the assault took place.
Adding to the gravity of the charges are claims that the pastor used threats against the girl’s family to ensure their silence. The case took a dramatic turn in the public eye after a 53-second video clip surfaced online. In the footage, the pastor is seen at the victim’s residence apparently pleading for forgiveness. This visit reportedly happened shortly after he failed to appear for a previously scheduled court hearing, sparking questions about his intentions.
The local community has remained firmly behind the young girl, with many neighbors and observers describing her as an innocent child caught in a harrowing situation. There is a growing sense of unease regarding the pastor’s direct approach to the family at their home. Many believe this was a calculated move to pressure the victim’s parents into an out-of-court settlement, a practice often used to bypass the formal justice system in sensitive cases.
Despite the delays that have stalled the trial for several months, there is a loud and persistent call for justice to be served through the proper legal channels. Advocacy groups and residents alike are insisting that the matter must not be hushed up or resolved through informal negotiations. As the court prepares to sit again this week, the focus remains on ensuring that the rule of law prevails and that the teenager receives a fair hearing in the pursuit of accountability.
