Emotions ran high in the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house after Big Brother officially informed Flora that she is one of this season’s selected Gambits, a role that comes with strict rules and a major responsibility.
The revelation came during Flora’s diary session on Thursday, where Big Brother explained that her assignment must remain completely confidential. She was instructed not to reveal either her identity as a Gambit or the mission attached to the role to any of the other housemates.
Big Brother warned that exposing her secret could attract serious consequences, including possible disqualification from the competition.
“Flora, you are the Gambit. From this moment on, your identity as the Gambit must remain a secret. If you reveal your identity, you may be disqualified,” Big Brother told her.
The announcement overwhelmed Flora, who became emotional and struggled to hold back tears as she tried to process the weight of the responsibility placed on her.
Reacting to the assignment, she said, “I will try my best. I do not think staying longer is enough.”
The development comes a few days after the show’s host, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, announced during Sunday’s live eviction show that viewers had selected Flora and fellow housemate Aikou to serve as the two Gambits for the season.
Although the audience has been aware of the twist since the announcement, the other housemates remain unaware of the identities of the selected contestants.
Aikou was officially informed of his Gambit role during his diary session on Wednesday, while Flora received the same briefing a day later.
